MISSION PLATE
Our offerings for the next three months are for CBM (Christian Blind Mission) which was first established by a German pastor in 1908. CBM is an international development organisation which improves the quality of life for people with disabilities in the world's poorest countries.
Supporting more than 1,000 projects in 113 countries, CBM focuses on the prevention and treatment of diseases, and provides medical care, education and rehabilitation to as many blind, deaf and physically disabled people as possible.
CBM's UK office is based in Oakington - for more information, visit www.cbmuk.org.uk

Summer Fete

Many thanks to everyone who helped to make last week's Fete such a tremendous success.  There have been many positive comments and it certainly upped our street cred in the village!

As a thank you to everyone who helped there will be an informal cheese and wine evening at the Community Hall on Friday, 15th July from 7.30pm.  All helpers are warmly invited and there will be a chance to see some photos of the day - these may be of particular interest to everyone who was too busy to see anything other than what they were doing!

Final income and expense figures aren't quite available - but we expect our profit to be over £5,500.  We hope to be able to announce the final figure on 17th.  In the meantime the income from the various stalls totalled over £3,000 and the full list is on the noticeboard.
